A&J Fencing at the Contra Costa Home and Garden Show
Come join A & J Fencing at the Contra Costa Home and Garden Show this weekend. The 17th annual “fall show” at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord starts on Friday from noon-6pm, and runs through the weekend, Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.
We love home shows because they offer a great opportunity to mingle with our community and educate people about our products. We also love talking with the other contractors and vendors to see what everyone has to offer. Hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees come together each spring and fall at various California county fair grounds.
Here is a photo of our booth at the Alameda County Home and Garden Show earlier this month. Fall home and garden shows take you into the cooler months with fall gardens, home improvement project ideas, crafts and better-living exhibits. There is something for everyone and we will be there with many samples of our fences, gates, decking and ornamental iron on display.
Custom Fencing Project Complete for Creektree HOA

We recently completed a project for the Creektree Homeowner’s Association in Alamo. This eight-home association badly needed a new fence around their property, the old one was dilapidated and provided no privacy while homeowners were enjoying their pool.
“We had a few other bids and A & J Fencing’s bid was actually the highest, however, they were willing to match a lower bid to earn our business,” says Lynda Moore, a member of the homeowner’s association. The association wanted a tall 7-foot picture frame board-on-board fence surrounding their property. “With this fence we got stability and privacy, we were very happy with the outcome of the project.”
The one issue we had with the job was with a 4×4 post, it had a crack that we weren’t happy about, said Lynda, although the crack was not A & J Fencing’s fault they did take the responsibility to fix the post and accommodate the HOA. When we told them of the issue they came within one week to fix it for us, no questions asked.
“A & J Fencing was wonderful, they were flexible, they beat other competitor bids and did the job right. We had a few requests out of the norm and they were 100% willing to accommodate us,” said Lynda. “During jobs like this there is usually dust and debris everywhere but the A & J cleanup crew was amazing, we didn’t see any garbage, litter or materials left over. After the fence was installed they came back to apply a beautiful weather resistant stain. They only have two stain colors we were able to choose from but once again they let us pick our own color to continue our theme and applied it. I am very happy with the outcome and the new fence we have.”
